Collection: Cyanotype Art

What is Cyanotype? Cyanotype printing is one of the oldest photographic processes that involves coating an absorbent surface (typically paper or fabric) with a light-sensitive solution made from ferric ammonium citrate and potassium ferricyanide. When exposed to UV light (like sunlight), the areas not blocked by objects turn blue, while the covered areas remain white, creating beautiful prints often referred to as "sun prints" or "blueprints."

The Cyanotype process is very magical and experimental, and the results are often a dynamic balance of precision and chance.
